Alpine hostelry: a Living Museum

A visit to Hotel Bella Tola is, above all, sharing the magic of this ancestral building, which today retains much of the mystery attached to the successive generations who have lived and worked here.

Renovated with flair and fantasy, the hotel has been accorded great attention to every detail, including the antique furniture and rare objects, thereby creating an air of elegance in which refinement and simplicity have been fused without the least contradiction.

Welcome to our Past!

Love of our alpine heritage and that of past generations has set the tone for the hotel’s successive renovations.

Bella Tola has become an essential address, if only for the way the hotel has married history with modern-day living. The result? A place where one longs to retreat and indulge in a generous dose of happiness.

Let’s find escapism next door, and accept that luxury is no longer frivolous, it has evolved into something utterly essential!

The History of Bella Tola

Founded in 1859 by the Pont family, the Hotel Bella Tola today still counts a number of real treasures, such as the Salon Vallet, which has retained its wood panelling, original floor as well as the painted ceiling courtesy of Raphael Ritz. Likewise, Edouard Vallet’s private collection of etchings.

The Dining Room 1900 has retained its old-world charm, thanks to its pink stucco ceiling.

A guided visit in the company of Ann-Catherine Buchs is available every Thursday at 18.00 during the summer and winter seasons.

The Staff

The hotel’s success is in large part due to its young and dynamic staff, 35-strong. They work tirelessly day after day to ensure the smooth running of the hotel’s many facets and guarantee your every comfort.

Every year, we train new staff and integrate young apprentices who come to us from various hotel schools in Switzerland.

Some of our staff stay with us for a number of years, thereby adding to guests’ impression of being at home.
